Supporting Careers and Skills Development at Bath Press

At City & Country, we are committed to making a positive impact in the communities where we work. As part of our Section 106 (s106) agreement for Bath Press, we are required to provide 48 work placements and 8 apprenticeships over the duration of the development. This initiative is designed to support local students and job seekers by providing valuable experience in the construction and heritage restoration industries.

Last Thursday, 4 of our team across multi departments; IT, Health & Safety, Construction and Commercial, attended a careers fair at Hayfield School to promote opportunities available in House Building through Bath Press. Engaging with students and young people at events like these is a crucial part of our commitment to fostering future talent. The team had a fantastic time speaking to students about careers in construction, property development, and heritage conservation, sharing insights into the diverse opportunities within our industry.

In addition to work placements and apprenticeships, we have established a Training Management Board in partnership with Bath College and the local council. This board meets quarterly to support the delivery of our commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for people seeking employment in the Bath area. Through this collaboration, we are strengthening relationships with educational institutions and expanding our reach—most recently connecting with Hayfield School as well.

Stay tuned for more updates on our work with local schools, colleges, and apprentices as we progress with the development!
