Manningtree Park road improvements & formal entrance have commenced
City & Country is pleased to announce that all necessary legal requirements have been achieved to kickstart the Section 278 improvements along Long Road (B1352), at the entrance of our Manningtree Park development. Following productive discussions with Essex Highways, preparations are now underway for the commencement of works on Monday April 8th, 2024, with road space duly granted.
The much-anticipated Section 278 works along City & Country’s Long Road (B1352) project promise a host of improvements along this vital stretch of road. These improvements encompass the upgrade of two existing bus stops, enhancements to surface water drainage, the addition of a new three-meter-wide footway/cycleway spanning approximately 298 meters, alongside new pedestrian crossing facilities and improved street lighting for enhanced visibility. Moreover, the project will facilitate new vehicular access to the Manningtree Park development for residents and visitors.

Collaborative discussions with Essex Highways persist to ensure a prompt and successful completion of the B1352 works, adhering to the outlined timelines.
