Factory No1 hosts Easter truffle making masterclass

Factory No. 1 residents and friends didn’t have to rely on the Easter Bunny to deliver the chocolate this year, as City & Country hosted a truffle-making workshop at the Bristol-based development.

The busy morning saw both slots filled with fledgling confectioners making their very own Belgian truffles and discovering City & Country’s Recommend a Friend incentive. If a Factory No.1 resident recommends a friend and they complete a purchase at the development, both resident and friend will receive a £2,500 voucher.

The luxury heritage development, located in the bustling Bedminster area, invited residents and prospective buyers to join the masterclass, run by the Chocolate Collective. Versed in the art of chocolate-making, the Chocolate Collective encouraged burgeoning chocolatiers to embrace their creative side and make their own delicious handmade treats.

Working in pairs, the guests each made 15-20 Belgian dark chocolate truffles using cream to create beautifully soft ganache centres. Guests weren’t afraid to get messy, rolling the chocolate into balls and finishing with a coconut or cocoa coating. The delicious truffles were either gift wrapped for friends or devoured by the makers as an early Easter treat.

Visitors were then invited to look around the development, which includes both conversion and new build homes, situated on the site of the former Imperial Tobacco Company’s headquarters.

Shelley West, Group Sales & Marketing Director at City & Country said: “It’s always a pleasure to host events in the beautiful Factory No.1 development. It’s such a wonderful space, situated in one of the most eclectic neighbourhoods of Bristol, so all the activities we hold here feel very special.

“Factory No. 1 has proven to be an extremely popular site in the City & Country portfolio. Our 5% deposit contribution has been an attractive incentive for our customers and the Recommend a Friend scheme is always a popular one, as residents are keen to share some of the joy of living in a City & Country home with their friends and loved ones.”
