Partnering with eat:Bedminster Food and Drink Festival

Award-winning developer City & Country is teaming up with Bristol’s annual open-air culinary celebration, eat:Bedminster Food and Drink Festival, set to take place on 12th October.

Now in its third year, the one-day free festival has grown year on year and will welcome over 80 local producers to showcase their delicious local wares, with a host of free entertainment filling Bedminster’s famous East Street, alongside the village’s great shops, cafes and bars.

City & Country will be supporting this exciting event as lead sponsor, celebrating local street food and producers, taking place adjacent to the developer’s award-winning Factory No. 1 development.

Located on the site of the former Imperial Tobacco Factory, Factory No. 1 is a collection of over 280 conversion and new-build apartments. This development offers a new chapter for this historical site, with one, two and three-bedrooms apartments available, set around beautifully landscaped gardens.

Natasha Callaghan, Senior Marketing Manager at Factory No. 1 said of the partnership: “We are thrilled to be supporting such a wonderful local event. Bristol and its surrounding counties offer an array of incredible food and drink producers, something that really draws new residents to the city. We believe it is paramount that these small, often family-run businesses, are supported and championed.”

“We are delighted to be back in Bristol this autumn to celebrate Bristol’s finest food, drink and crafts”, said Event Organiser Sarah Milner Simonds.

“Markets are part of the fabric of towns and cities across the UK, especially Bristol, offering a quality family day out. We know our events generate environmental and economic benefits by supporting family producers and farmers. During these challenging economic times, we are aware how much we need to help these micro and small businesses, to benefit the local economic wellbeing and long-term visions of vibrant town centres.

“We are thrilled to be welcoming City & Country as our new lead sponsor and can’t wait to see Bedminster thrive on 12th October.”

The Factory No 1 show home will also be open on 12th October, for those who would like to explore this incredible heritage conversion development. Its latest show home, 64 Regent House, is situated on the third floor of a Grade II-listed Edwardian Baroque style building, originally designed by Sir Frank Wills, and now comprises 70 converted apartments. The sensitively restored one-bedroom 452 sq. ft. apartment has been restored to meet the highest modern specification, with an open-plan kitchen, living and dining space ideal for entertaining and a cool mix of contemporary and heritage interiors.
