Yesterday marked a truly special moment as City & Country’s Brand Ambassador, George Clarke, officially opened The Gatehouse at the historic St Osyth Priory, following a meticulous multi-million-pound restoration by City & Country.
Dating back to the 12th century, this remarkable estate, particularly its stunning 15th-century Gatehouse, has been carefully restored with the expertise, passion, and dedication that define our approach to historic buildings.
George, who has been a brand ambassador for City & Country for 12 years, praised our unwavering commitment to preserving heritage while breathing new life into these architectural gems:
“I’ve never come across any other developer like that in my career, that loves buildings as much as they do, who restores, converts, and transforms them to such a high quality.”
Cutting the ribbon was not just a symbolic gesture but a celebration of history, craftsmanship, and the future of St Osyth Priory as it continues to be enjoyed for generations to come. The event also looked ahead to the future of the local area, not only at St Osyth Priory Estate but at the nearby Priory Fields new-homes development by City & Country, which has recently launched.
We are incredibly proud of this project and grateful for the support of the local community, who have been integral to its journey.
