FACTORY NO.1 BIG LUNCH
Sunday 2nd June 2024 saw the first Big Lunch at Factory No. 1 – an event to bring people together in this new community. All residents were invited and it was a ‘bring and share’ lunch event – 12:00pm – 4:00pm in the shared garden. The residents reported: “The weather was kind, the food varied and plentiful, and the music and entertainment perfect – so we had a great afternoon! At ‘peak lunch’ we had around 100 neighbours, friends and guests assembled”.
As part of the day we raised funds to support Help Bristol’s Homeless – an amazing charity just around the corner in Ship Street, Bedminster. City & Country donated £250.00 to the residents to organise the event and another £250 directly to the charity.
On top of the direct donations to the charity by City & Country and ASDA, the residents raised a further £570 for the charity. Well done to all involved in organising this great event!
