City & Country and Bike Bristol Host Successful Free Bike Maintenance Workshop at Factory No.1, Bedminster

City & Country and Bike Bristol recently came together to host a free Dr. Bike Workshop at the award-winning Factory No.1 development in Bedminster. The event took place on Saturday 26th July and offered residents expert advice and hands-on help to keep their bikes in top shape.

Running from midday until 5pm, the workshop began with an informative talk about bicycle care and road safety, delivered by Bike Bristol’s skilled mechanics. Residents then had the opportunity to book one-to-one maintenance sessions where minor repairs such as brake pad and inner tube replacements were carried out free of charge.

This workshop perfectly aligns with City & Country’s commitment to promoting sustainable, healthy ways to get around the city. Factory No.1’s excellent transport links make cycling a practical and enjoyable option for residents looking to reduce their environmental footprint.

Shelley West, Group Sales and Marketing Director at City & Country, reflected on the event: “It was fantastic to see so many residents come together to learn new skills and take pride in their bikes. Cycling is a brilliant way to get around Bristol, and events like this give our community the confidence and knowledge to ride safely and enjoyably.”

Sam Marsh from Bike Bristol added, “We’re thrilled to have brought our workshop to Factory No.1 residents. Regular bike maintenance is key to safe and enjoyable cycling. We hope this event inspires even more people to make cycling a part of their everyday life.”

For those who missed the workshop, there’s still a great opportunity to embrace cycling. City & Country is offering a special July incentive: anyone purchasing a home at Factory No.1 this month will receive a complimentary bike from Bike Bristol, valued up to £1,500 — a perfect way to start exploring Bristol on two wheels.

Factory No.1 itself is a unique blend of history and modern living. Once home to the original W.D. & H.O Wills tobacco factory, it has been transformed into stylish one and two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom penthouses, all within a landmark Bedminster location.

Stay tuned for more community events and initiatives from City & Country as we continue to support sustainable lifestyles and vibrant neighbourhoods.
