City & Country Officially Hand Over First 19 Housing Association Properties at Sanderling Reach

Award-winning Essex-based developer, City & Country, has handed over the first allocation of new affordable homes to residents at its Sanderling Reach development, on the iconic Mersea island.

On 11th March, representatives from City & Country, CHP and Colchester City Council gathered at the Sanderling Reach development for the official handover of the first 19 homes to CHP’s residents.

In the first partnership of its kind for City & Country, a total of 30 affordable homes are being built for the West Mersea community, with 24 in the scheme to be offered at 80% of the market rent. The remaining six will be offered for sale on a shared ownership basis.

“It was a great honour to handover these wonderful homes today as part of our partnership with local housing association, CHP”, said Marco Sidoli from City & Country. “We have ensured that they are built to the highest quality, with our new residents in mind at all stages, creating superb affordable family homes to suit a variety of needs. We look forward to welcoming the remainder of the new Sanderling Reach CHP residents later this year.”
