Bath is Somerset’s crown jewel. Experience daily life in this World Heritage city from a home that feels just as irreplicable.
At Bath Press, our one, two and three-bedroom apartments and four-bedroom townhouses pay tribute to one of Bath’s most recognisable buildings, the Pitman Printing Press. This Non-Designated Heritage Asset now has a next chapter, as a neighbourhood that seamlessly blends a sense of history with modern interior design.
We’ve carefully preserved original features like the formal façade of the original 19th-century building, and the Press’s iconic chimney.
The elegant townhouses have been thoughtfully designed to reflect the city’s glorious Georgian architecture. The apartments, industrial in character, are modern yet respectful of the site’s heritage. Beyond the stately entrance, you’ll discover beautifully landscaped communal green spaces, immaculate courtyards and rooftop gardens offering a picturesque and relaxing setting.

The Story of Bath Press: A Legacy of Innovation, Industry and Regeneration
Originally established as Sir Isaac Pitman’s Fifth Phonetic Institute in 1889, Bath Press grew from a pioneering publishing business into one of Bath’s most significant industrial employers. Expanding throughout the early 20th century, the site became a landmark printing works that supported both education and wartime production. Following its closure in 2008, the historic façade was preserved and thoughtfully restored, transforming the former industrial complex into a distinctive residential development that celebrates Bath’s rich heritage while embracing modern living.
