Local Councillor Officially Opens Priory Fields in St Osyth

On Thursday 17th September, local councillor Christopher Amos officially opened City & Country’s Priory Fields development in St Osyth, Essex.

Councillor Amos cut the ribbon at the new marketing suite before touring the show homes and wider development, which sits adjacent to the historic St Osyth Priory Estate.

The milestone sees Priory Fields officially open to the public, with visitors now able to explore the development and its show homes.

Councillor Christopher Amos, Vice-Chairman of the Resources and Services Overview & Scrutiny Committee at Tendring District Council, said: “St Osyth is a special place, with a rich history and a real sense of community, so any new development needs to respect what makes the village unique.

“It was great to visit Priory Fields and see how that has been reflected in the development. I was particularly impressed by the thought that has gone into the design of the homes and how they sit within their surroundings.”

The gated development offers a collection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, ranging from properties suited to couples and smaller households through to spacious family homes.

The development also benefits from its distinctive natural setting. The neighbouring Priory grounds are home to rare breed animals, including white deer, while nearby wetlands and ponds provide habitats for marshland and coastal birds.

Councillor Christopher Amos added: “One thing that really stood out during my visit was the wildlife surrounding Priory Fields. There is so much for residents to enjoy right on their doorstep.”
