City & Country Launches a Trio of Apartments at Manningtree Park

New one- and two-bedroom apartments launched at Manningtree Park in Essex, offering contemporary living in a sought-after riverside location.

Heritage and new-build developer City & Country has unveiled three new apartments at its Manningtree Park development in rural Essex, offering a choice of one- and two-bedroom layouts.

Designed to complement the local landscape, the apartments are expected to appeal to first-time buyers and those looking to downsize, adding to the range of homes available at the development.

The apartments feature contemporary kitchens with handleless cabinetry, Silestone worktops and integrated Bosch appliances. Underfloor heating and fitted wardrobes to the principal bedrooms complete the specification.

Priced at £222,500, the one-bedroom Linden apartment features a private south-facing balcony and an allocated parking space.

The two-bedroom Beechwood and Aspen apartments, priced at £292,500 and £295,000 respectively, offer open-plan kitchen, living and dining areas opening onto private balconies. Both have an en suite to the principal bedroom, a separate bathroom, two storage cupboards and two parking spaces.

Sophie Alberry-King, Interior Designer at City & Country, said: “The apartments have been designed to reflect their rural surroundings while meeting the needs of modern buyers.

“Warm, earthy tones, natural materials and layered textures take inspiration from the surrounding Essex countryside to create a cosy home. Large windows and thoughtfully planned layouts maximise natural light and space, giving the apartments an airy feel.”

Michael Burt, Sales Director at City & Country, said: “A town like Manningtree needs a range of homes to suit different households and stages of life. These apartments broaden that choice, whether someone is buying independently, moving with a partner or looking for a more manageable home.

“Manningtree’s appeal extends beyond its connections to London. Its independent shops and cafés, historic buildings and position on the River Stour give the town a distinctive character, with plenty to offer residents close to home.”

Manningtree was named the best place to live in the East of England by The Sunday Times in 2026. Direct rail services from Manningtree Station reach London Liverpool Street in around an hour.

City & Country’s Manningtree Park also offers a selection of two- to five-bedroom houses, with prices starting from £315,000.
