City & Country Encourages Future Talent At Bath Apprenticeship Careers Fair

City & Country recently attended the Bath College Apprenticeships Careers Fair, reinforcing our commitment to inspiring more young women to explore opportunities in construction and the built environment.

Held at the Apex Hotel in Bath, the event brought together a wide range of students, school leavers and individuals considering a change of career. Designed to showcase the variety of opportunities available across the sector, the fair created an engaging and informative space for attendees to learn more about potential career paths.

This year’s event saw an impressive turnout, with over 1,100 attendees from 70 schools, alongside 83 employers and eight universities, which signified a growing intrigue for careers within construction.

Leeann Tanner, our Construction and Health & Safety Coordinator and Alice Fowler, our Head of IT and Systems Development delivered a dedicated workshop focused on women in construction. The session explored why construction matters, the wide variety of career opportunities available and the importance of personal development and skills gained whilst working in the built environment.

Our involvement in the event forms part of our ongoing partnership with Bath College, established through the Section 106 agreement linked to our nearby Bath Press development.

Encouraging more women to consider careers in construction remains important to us, by engaging directly with young women, we continue to break down outdated perceptions and inform women on the many different career options available to them.

As interest in apprenticeships and alternative career routes continues to rise, events like this play a vital role in connecting the next generation of talent with opportunities.
