City & Country Donates £2,000 To Midhurst Community Garden Project

The heritage housebuilder has contributed £2,000 towards essential restoration works at Midhurst’s historic Curfew Garden, helping create a welcoming community space for future generations.

Award-winning heritage developer City & Country has donated £2,000 to Midhurst Town Council's Community Growing Garden project, supporting essential repairs to the historic wall at Curfew Garden in Midhurst, West Sussex. The contribution will help safeguard the site as it is transformed into an accessible and welcoming space for local residents to enjoy.

The project aims to create a community-focused garden featuring accessible pathways, sheltered seating areas and growing spaces for fresh produce, which will support weekly community lunches organised by Midhurst Community Hub. Designed to encourage biodiversity, wellbeing and social connection, the garden will provide benefits for people of all ages while preserving an important part of the town's heritage.

City & Country's donation forms part of the company's ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and conservation-led projects. The funding will enable vital restoration work to the historic stone wall, ensuring the safety of volunteers and visitors while helping to protect the garden's long-term future.
