City & Country Backs Bath Charity Fireworks Fiesta
Award-winning developer City & Country is sponsoring Bath Rotary's annual Charity Fireworks Fiesta, supporting local fundraising efforts while continuing its investment in the city through the regeneration of Bath Press.
Award-winning heritage and new-build developer City & Country is sponsoring this year’s Bath Rotary Charity Fireworks Fiesta, one of the city’s biggest community fundraisers.
The fireworks display on Saturday 7th November will bring residents and visitors together to support organisations across Bath and North East Somerset.
Running for more than 40 years, the event attracts thousands of spectators and has raised more than £130,000 for local charities over the past five years alone.
Among this year’s principal beneficiaries are Bath Rugby Foundation and Glasshouse Academy, which help local young people, including those living in poverty or with special educational needs, build confidence, develop skills and access new opportunities through sport and other activities.
City & Country joins a number of corporate sponsors supporting the event. Its involvement builds on its investment in Bath, where it is transforming the former Bath Press printing works on Lower Bristol Road into a residential development.
Michael Burt, Sales Director at City & Country, said: “The Bath Rotary Fireworks Fiesta is an example of what makes this city so special. For more than 40 years, it has brought people together for a great evening while raising money for charities doing valuable work.
“As we restore and redevelop Bath Press, we want to play a part in the wider life of the city too. Supporting this event gives us an opportunity to do that.”
Chris Davies, President of the Rotary Club of Bath, said: “The Fireworks Fiesta has always been about more than the display itself. It is a fantastic opportunity for the whole city to come together and turn a memorable evening into something that benefits our community throughout the year.
“Having raised more than £130,000 for local charities over the past five years, we have seen just how much can be achieved through the generosity of those who support the event. We are grateful to all our sponsors, including City & Country, for helping us to continue that work.”
At Bath Press, City & Country is preserving the former printing works’ 19th-century façade and landmark chimney, retaining reminders of the site’s role in Bath’s industrial history within the new residential neighbourhood.
The development comprises one, two and three-bedroom apartments alongside a limited collection of four-bedroom townhouses, set among landscaped communal gardens, courtyards and rooftop space. Selected properties also include dedicated parking, all within walking distance of Bath city centre and Bath Spa railway station.
Prices currently start from £350,000 for a one-bedroom apartment. To find out more, or make an enquiry, visit www.cityandcountry.co.uk
