City Commuter Finds First Time Home At Angel’s Courtyard In Colchester

After eight years of renting properties in London, Dan Williams, a 34 year old accountant at a City law firm, has decided to stop pouring his hard earnt money into expensive London rentals and buy his first home at Angel’s Courtyard in Colchester.

Going back to his family roots Dan based his search around Colchester. He explains: “I’d been renting in London for far too long and felt it was time to get onto the property ladder. To buy in London is prohibitively expensive and as I have family in Essex, Colchester looked like a great opportunity.”

Being based at St. Pauls, Dan was looking for a good commute into London Liverpool Street where he could easily hop on the Central line to work:

“I grew up near Colchester and knew that it would be ideal for my commute back to London Liverpool Street. I originally found Angel’s Courtyard on the internet and I loved the look of it straight away; the development has a tranquil, secluded feel to it despite being just off the High Street, meaning you get the best of both worlds.”

“It was only the second property I viewed, the first of which was in Hornchurch. Once I'd seen the property I didn't feel the need to view anywhere else. The flat in Hornchurch was very nice, but offered just one bedroom for the same price as a two bedroom apartment at Angel's Courtyard, and it was not as tranquil. City & Country has been a pleasure to deal with and the professionalism of everyone on the first day I viewed the development was a big reason I decided to go for it.”

After almost a decade of city living, Dan is now looking forward to staying put and enjoying life in his new home. He says: “I've moved several times in and around London so I plan on staying put for a few years. I've become well skilled in the art of moving home, but I'm ready and eager for a break from it. I’m planning on getting back into golf as my game has been largely neglected since moving to London!”
