Lauren Hunt, a Regional Bank Manager, has recently purchased her first home at City & Country’s The Garden Quarter in Oxfordshire. A few months prior to her purchase, Lauren visited the first phase at The Garden Quarter with her Dad who works in construction and they were taken with the high specification of the build.
Lauren comments: “For my first home quality was the priority and the properties City & Country had on offer were perfect for me. From the marketing material and the website, I saw that City & Country was a strong and unique brand and I was very impressed. I brought my dad along and he validated the quality of the build when we visited the development as he has worked extensively within the construction industry. With City & Country, I felt very confident in the longevity and uniqueness of the properties.”
The Garden Quarter fuses the historic exterior of the former RAF buildings with modern new build homes and contemporary interior design. Lauren continues: “I was looking for a modern, new build in a community environment as I am living on my own. I bought one of the mezzanine flats and from the start I loved the development, the people here are very friendly. The grounds are very idyllic and beautiful; they are very well kept and there is a great array of greenery. It was a big pull for me, knowing that the entire development is really well cared for.”
Many of the concerns and stresses associated with buying a house for the first time were eased by City & Country’s team of property professionals. Lauren comments: “City & Country ensured that the purchase process was a welcoming experience; they really went the extra mile to look after me. I built a great relationship with the sales staff and I still speak with them now. They were very personal and made the experience very pleasant; they really went over and above the call of duty with their level of service.”
Lauren continues: “I would definitely recommend City & Country because of the quality of the properties, the attention to detail and the personal and supportive service I received. I am now really close to work because the development has such good transport links; I know I will be happy here for a long time.”
The Garden Quarter combines characterful and historic restoration properties with a range of new build homes that seamlessly blend into the existing vernacular of the historic buildings. The clever site design and layout of the development maximises space and light, with buildings formally arranged in symmetrical patterns around formal squares and landscaped areas.
Owners at The Garden Quarter benefit from an enviable location surrounded by superb countryside, yet with fantastic road and rail links to local towns and larger cities. Nearby Bicester North station provides regular train services to London Marylebone, with journey times from 48 minutes. Oxford is less than fifteen miles away, and by road the A4095 by-pass provides quick access to Junction 9 of the M40, linking The Garden Quarter homes to London and Birmingham.
