Sundridge Park – The Perfect Home Away From the City
When Jayne and her husband began their search for a peaceful bolt-hole from which to enjoy their weekends, one development was top of their list: City & Country’s Sundridge Park in Bromley. When the opportunity to buy there arose, the couple were one of the first to snap up one of the luxurious new apartments and are excited about the prospect of spending time there.
Jayne says: “We set up home in the area when our children were younger; our family home is nearby in Chislehurst. I have always loved Sundridge Mansion, having driven past it and seen its previous incarnations over the years. The moment the opportunity to buy an apartment there presented itself, we leapt at the chance.”
“My husband and I were on the hunt for somewhere to entertain friends at the weekends,” Jayne continues. “These days we spend a lot of our time in our apartment in London – the area around Sundridge Park is so well served by trains with three stations nearby, so getting away from the capital for some peace and quiet is so easy. He plays golf at Sundridge Park Golf Club, and it’s so tranquil here that we’re not putting a television in – we want ultimate escapism. It feels so much further from central London than 10 miles.”
Speaking about her new apartment, Jayne continues: “I set my sights on our apartment upon my very first viewing of the Mansion. It’s on the ground floor and has the most perfect view across the golf course from the striking circular living room. We’re also fortunate to have a garden too, which is lovely in the sunshine. Every time I come down, I discover a new detail about the property; the restoration is wonderful. The ceilings are so high and it feels so airy and light – it’s stunning and I can’t wait for my friends to join me here.”
