As 2025 draws to a close, we’re proud to reflect on an extraordinary year for City & Country, one that saw us hold the title of Housebuilder of the Year and continue to push boundaries across heritage restoration, new-build design and exceptional placemaking.
Last week, we joined industry peers at the annual WhatHouse? Awards, the UK’s most prestigious celebration of residential property. It was a fitting finale to our year at the top, and before passing the crown to the 2025 winner, we had the pleasure of collecting five new awards recognising the breadth and quality of our work.

We were honoured to receive accolades across multiple categories, reflecting our commitment to craftsmanship, creativity and thoughtful development:

A Year to Remember
Reflecting on the wins, Wayne Douglas, Managing Director, shared:
“We are immensely proud to conclude a remarkable year as Housebuilder of the Year, and the responsibility that it entails as a leader within our sector. At the same time, we are thrilled to have collected several new WhatHouse? award wins, which serve as further recognition of our passion for quality, heritage and design excellence. Our focus for the year ahead remains true to our principles, namely a commitment to delivering exceptional homes with respect to their heritage and community.”
At City & Country, transforming historic and listed buildings into beautiful new places to live is more than our expertise, it’s our passion. Every home we create is driven by a dedication to quality, respect for heritage and a belief that thoughtful design can enrich communities for generations.
