The Mansion at Sundridge Park Recognised Again at London Evening Standard New Homes Awards

The Mansion at Sundridge Park has received a Special Commendation at this year’s London Evening Standard New Homes Awards; the second year running that the development in Bromley has received one of the prestigious accolades.

Recognised in the “Best Conversion” category, judges noted The Mansion’s original features, including restored decorative paintings, arched windows and panelling, as well as the unique range of apartments available.

The judges said: “The meticulous restoration has yielded genuinely unique apartments, including one in the formal ballroom with a highly unusual circular drawing room opening on to a splendid terrace. What makes the property even more special is the splendid location overlooking Sundridge Park Golf Course.”

Just 25 minutes from central London in the leafy borough of Bromley, The Mansion is a breathtaking feat of British architecture and design. Designed by John Nash – who was also responsible for the design of Buckingham Palace – it sits within 300-acres of parkland and wooded areas, in a traditional English landscape that was designed by Humphry Repton – another icon of landscape design.

Accessed via a private drive, the Sundridge Estate dates back as far as 1200. The magnificent building seen today was built in the late 1790s / early 1800s and is recognised as a nationally significant heritage asset. Passing through the hands of English nobility over the intervening years, The Mansion has welcomed a range of English aristocrats and others notable for their contribution to British construction and design.

More than 200 years later, the building and its grounds have been painstakingly restored and converted by City & Country, the UK’s leading developer of historic buildings. Now The Mansion is home to a range of award-winning homes that boast incredible original features alongside the high-quality modern comforts expected of a luxury new home.

There are just five apartments remaining for sale, with prices ranging from £900,000 to £2,250,000.
