Sabry and Mello Salman started their search for a second home in 2018. They were looking for a home in the countryside where they could relax away from their jobs in finance in London. They were also keen to not uproot their young son who attends a school near the family’s primary residence in Surrey.
Their search took them to the South Downs, where they could enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside whilst still benefitting from fast access to London. When they first set eyes on King Edward VII Estate near Midhurst the couple knew it was the perfect place for them. Sabry says:

Since purchasing their home Sabry and Mello have enjoyed using it so much that they have started to work remotely on occasion. The couple also anticipate that the property could become their primary residence once their son completes his schooling.
“We get to mix and match where we want to spend our time, turning up where we want according to our schedule. Friends and colleagues in London tend to have holiday homes in Europe or in rural Devon and Cornwall, and I always feel they rarely get the maximum value from them because of the time it can take to get there and the cost of air travel. For me, there was an ideal radius from London which I was looking for with a second home. King Edward VII Estate is perfectly located as it literally takes an hour door-to-door to get to where I live, so we can all get the most out of it.
“The concierge service is really essential, particularly if there is anything that needs to be done inside our apartment when we’re not here. If there is anything urgent that needs looking into we can rely on the concierge to take care of it.”
