City & Country's Graduate Development Programme focuses on developing skills in four key areas; You, You & The Team, You & The Business and You & The Client, alongside gaining well rounded experience in your primary role. We want our Graduates to be at the forefront of our business, to support us as we continue to grow from strength to strength.
The Programme is run by a highly experienced external consultancy, Athena Professional. Athena work with City & Country across the business with a focus on coaching and training to prepare the team for further growth. The Programme consists of a variety of learning methods from practical challenges, to lectures and Project Presentations to the Board.
The Project Presentations are set by the Directors and have genuine business benefit. Areas for improvement are identified across the company and along with your Project Sponsors your group will devise a set of recommendations and an implementation strategy. These are presented with reports and formal presentations. Athena Professional will work with you to support you through this process to be confident in your writing and presentation skills. A rare opportunity afforded to a Graduate Development Programme - a chance to shine in front of the board.

“The Graduate Development Programme at City & Country has been a steep learning curve where I have been given great opportunities to take on interesting tasks. I have thoroughly appreciated the frequent interaction with the Managing Director, Helen Moore and Chief Executive, Tim Sargeant throughout the programme. Tim and Helen often visit the site I work on, which is a great opportunity to learn and consolidate all that we have been doing on site and develop our next steps in the construction process with them. Their support provides me with an invaluable insight into the industry and I have learnt huge amounts from them.”Kacper Momola, Graduate Trainee Site Manager
“My degree in Interior Design could not have prepared me for how varied my role as Graduate Interior Designer has been. I have been lucky enough to see one of my show house schemes right through from concept to delivery and get the chance to interact with a variety of people at all levels within the company, on a frequent basis. Visiting company showrooms, design shows and exhibitions is a key part of the role allowing us as a department to look at key trends and how they can translate into our show home interiors. I have learnt so much in such a short space of time but look forward to developing my skills and knowledge in this role.”Georgina McWilliams, Graduate Interior Designer
