The South Downs National Park has facilitated the formation of a Community Liaison Group. The purpose of this group is to:

Further effective communication between the various interest groups and the developer.
Provide a forum for discussion of any issues arising from works or actions undertaken by the developer and to help to seek solutions without fettering the actions of any party or the SDNPA as the planning authority in any actions.
Provide information and advice where appropriate to inform South Downs National Park Authority decisions whilst recognising the group has no statutory function or formal powers.

The Liaison Group includes members from the following organisations and groups:
  • South Downs National Park
  • Hurst Park Management Company
  • Scotland Lane
  • South Downs Network
  • South Downs Society
  • Easebourne Parish Council
  • Fernhurst Parish Council
  • Chichester District Council
  • Midhurst Town Council
  • Chichester Access Group
  • The National Trust
  • City & Country

The Liaison Group meets every 2 months, and any issues for discussion should be raised either with members of the Liaison Group, or direct with City & Country. The terms of reference for the meeting, as well as contact details for the group members, can be seen here.
