Bristol General Hospital, Bristol

In July 2011 City & Country agreed terms with University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for the landmark Grade II Listed Bristol General Hospital.  This will be City & Country’s first major development in the south west.

The site extends to almost three acres with the imposing main hospital building sitting upon the quayside. This structure along with the former lodge and main hospital gates on Guinea Street are Grade II Listed. A further array of Victorian buildings on the site are either curtilage listed or listed by association. The hospital has been influenced by a range of architectural styles as it was added to throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.

City & Country are looking forward to ensuring that the buildings are restored to their former glory and believe that with its stunning waterside location close to the centre of the city, that it will provide a new dimension to the Harbourside area.

City & Country are currently gathering a team appropriate for such a prestigious location and will be working closely with the community,  University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, Bristol, Bristol City Council and English Heritage to draw up appropriate plans for this landmark building.
