City & Country is delighted to launch its latest unique apartment within The Chapel at The Galleries in Brentwood, Essex. With a combination of history and modern living, No.2 The Chapel is ideal for those looking for something a little different in a new home.
The two bedroom duplex apartment features a stylish open plan kitchen / diner, two double bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor, as well as a generous lounge on the mezzanine level. The double height ceilings and large original windows flood the apartment with light, further enhancing the feeling of spacious living.
Measuring 934 sq ft, the apartment has been dressed by the in-house interior design team, who have carefully blended the traditional colour palettes with splashes of gold, plum and tan to create a luxurious living space. Use of silk and velvet soft furnishings create a cosy and welcoming atmosphere, whilst clever use of glass balustrading and oak engineered flooring gives the apartment a modern finish.
Helen Moore, Managing Director of City & Country commented: “No.2 The Chapel is a stunning example of clever architecture and craftsmanship. Our expert team has maximised the high ceiling spaces in this truly unique building to create a mezzanine level and the result is a home which feels spacious and individual. ”
The Chapel recently underwent extensive restoration and has been converted into six unique and beautiful one, two and three bedroom homes. Each apartment has been cleverly designed to maximise space and light offering spacious open plan living with high quality fixtures and furnishings such as cast iron radiators, engineered oak flooring and under floor heating. The bespoke high gloss kitchens are fully equipped with integrated appliances and stone worktops and the luxurious bathrooms feature contemporary white Vitra sanitaryware and Hansgrohe chrome fittings.
Set within the heart of The Galleries development in Brentwood, Essex, formerly the Warley Lunatic Asylum, the Grade II Listed Chapel originally served the patients and staff at the hospital. City & Country has spent months converting the building whilst carefully restoring its many original features.
Built in 1853 by HE Kendall, the Grade II Listed Chapel was constructed from Kentish Ragstone in a Tudor gothic theme and designed to stand out amongst the surrounding red brick hospital buildings. The carving and stonework within the chapel was created by master stone mason, George Myers who had a special interest in carving.
Located on the edge of the town, The Galleries provides a quiet oasis whilst being close to the diverse selection of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops on the high street. Residents can enjoy the vast outdoor space offered by Thorndon Forest and Weald Country Park, each less than two miles away, and Brentwood train station is only a short walk from the development, providing a direct service into London Liverpool Street of just over half an hour.
No.2 The Chapel is priced at £385,000. Other properties at The Galleries are priced from £225,000 to £950,000. The on-site sales suite is open daily between 10am and 5pm. For further information, contact City & Country on telephone: 01277 202122.
