City & Country was delighted to be able to sponsor The Royal Association for Deaf People’s (RAD) packed out gala award ceremony in London to celebrate their 175th anniversary and all that is great about deaf history, language and culture.
Held at The Millennium Hotel on Grosvenor Square and hosted by actress, comedian and author Helen Lederer, more than 370 nominees, RAD employees and guests gathered to celebrate this momentous occasion and to congratulate some of the Deaf community’s most honourable figures.
The evening featured nine award categories, plus a performance from deaf musician Ruth Montgomery and an auction chaired by Bonhams. As title sponsors of this prestigious event, Helen Moore, Managing Director of City & Country, was one of the evening’s keynote speakers. She said:
“We are honoured to sponsor such a wonderful milestone in RAD’s distinguished history. The evening was marvellous and there was a great deal of celebration and respect amongst award winners. RAD does such excellent work within the Deaf community and seeing such worthy individuals and companies winning these awards was inspiring.”
