Anna Sedina, a banker working in London, has recently purchased an apartment at The Galleries, City & Country’s development of restored and newly built homes in Brentwood.
Due to her job Anna was keen to find a new home that offered excellent road and rail links into London. After conducting some online research she discovered The Galleries and was keen to view the apartments available.
She comments: “The buildings were originally part of the Warley Hospital, and I was really impressed by the conversion. In my opinion conversions are a much greater challenge than new build homes, and they have so much more to offer. I could see that City & Country had an excellent track record, and I loved the look of the properties when I first visited.”
Brentwood benefits from excellent local transport connections, including a quick and regular train service to London Liverpool Street station, a key factor in Anna’s decision to purchase. She says: “The Galleries is within an easy commute to London, but you still get a country feeling, just as the company’s name suggests”. Plus the station is only a short walk from the development
Anna loved that The Galleries was located in a peaceful and private location, but still within easy reach of Brentwood’s town centre. She comments: “Brentwood has a lot of leisure facilities such as bars, restaurants and sports and leisure clubs. There are nice parks close by and a range of good primary and secondary schools in the area, perfect for families or those who are planning on having children in the future.”
Since moving in Anna has found the on-site concierge and management services that the development offers particularly helpful. She comments: “A very appealing aspect of buying a property at The Galleries is the services included in the site management, such as window cleaners and gardeners. It’s nice knowing that I can leave a key with the concierge so that they can open my apartment if I have a delivery and I’m not there. You can also advise the concierge to give a key to friends or family who might be popping over; I’ve never had that service before and it’s really useful!”
The Galleries, located one mile from Brentwood station and City & Country’s most successful development to date, comprises a range of historic restoration properties and new build homes. The Tudor-influenced Victorian red brick buildings of the Grade II listed former Warley hospital were built in 1853 and have been expertly restored and converted by City & Country into stunning modern apartments with original historic features.
Conveniently located on the outskirts of Brentwood, residents at The Galleries enjoy a prime location from which to enjoy a quiet oasis close to the diverse selection of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops on the high street. The 400-acre country forest at the edge of town is an ideal place for weekend leisure and Brentwood station is just a short walk from the development, offering a direct commute into London Liverpool Street of just over half an hour.
