| I was living with my parents in Upminster when I decided it was time to branch out on my own and buy my first home. I thought the building looked wonderful, and when I saw the show home I was very impressed with the features and finishes. However, all of the first phase of homes had been sold. I was so keen to live there that I decided to stay with my parents and wait until a new phase was released off plan. | I was viewing a new build property in Warley when I spotted a large, somewhat dilapidated Victorian building next door and asked my estate agent if he knew what was going to happen with the building. He could not help me, so I did a bit of research and found out that City & Country Group was converting the building into apartments. I have previously owned conversion properties and really love unusual or period features. I had a feeling that The Galleries was something really special so I immediately registered my details on the website. Approximately two months later the properties were released for preview. I went straight down to The Galleries and, as soon as I walked into the foyer, I knew it had my name written all over it. I put down a deposit on a one bedroom apartment that weekend.
