The MOD Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) site at Caversfield, on the northern edge of the town of Bicester, was the domestic (barracks) side of the former RAF Bicester airfield, which played an important part in training bomber crews in the Second World War.
The 23 acre site lies within a conservation area and includes a total of 17 Grade II listed buildings. City & Country acquired the site in April 2010 and will soon start working with the local community, heritage groups and Cherwell District Council to prepare a planning application which will provide a long term future for this most important historical site and buildings.
