Interior Design Consultant drawn to City & Country

Stansted-based restoration and conservation experts in City & Country have appointed interior designer Liz Freeman to their team.

She joins the award-winning company as it celebrates its 50th anniversary with rising sales and a growing property portfolio.

Liz said: “For me, there’s nothing like taking an empty room as my blank canvas and dressing it with furniture and items that really bring out the beauty of the space.

“I feel very lucky to be working with buildings of the calibre that City & Country restore and convert.

“I love to utilise quirky and unusual features, be it a window, fireplace or doorway – something that the eye is naturally drawn to. Happily, our current projects have an abundance of these treasures thanks to the nature of the heritage building that we work with.

“Having set up my own consultancy, I never thought id be enticed to work for someone else, but after freelancing with the company for the past 18 months I found that I really enjoyed working in the team. This, coupled with the sheer variety  and scale of the properties in the City & Country portfolio, was an opportunity which was impossible to resist. With so many unique buildings, I know I shall never be bored!”

Helen Moore, City & Country’s residential MD, said: “Liz’s wide-ranging expertise, from new-build properties to historic homes, brings a new dimension to our already excellent design team.”
